Winners' Gallery For 1st Annual
Assiniboia Spring Fever Lotto, 1996

The First Annual Spring Fever Lotto was a huge success. Although we only had two prizes, we sold out! We were SO proud! We started the lottery with $3,800.00 in the bank. Due to the success of Lotto 1 it has become the CIA's biggest and most successful fund raising event. The Winners of Lotto 1 are pictured below.

Grand Prize Winner

Ralph Stull, of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan Won $135,000.00 Cash! Ralph chose cash instead of a 4WD Tractor and Air Seeder as his prize. Lee Mountain, Lotto Chairman is shown presenting him with his cheque. Ralph drove to Assiniboia, all the way from Hudson Bay, with his son to collect his Prize! Many years ago Ralph used to operate a coffee shop and restaurant in Fir Mountain.

Early Bird Draw

The first Prize won in the Spring Fever Lotto was our Early Bird Draw for $10,000.00. The Winning Ticket was in the name of four cousins, Gordie Leckie, Laurie Leckie, and Don Leckie, all from Calgary, Alberta, and Paul Chase, from Meyronne, Saskatchewan. All four came to Assiniboia, to Lotto headquarters to be presented with their cheque by CIA Vice-President, Bill Batty shown to the left.
